1. What Ellea does
Ellea is a personal AI companion designed to help you reflect, remember what matters, and follow up on things in your everyday life.
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you use Ellea, we may collect and process:
- Account or profile identifiers
- Messages you send to Ellea
- Memories, goals and follow-up items inferred from your messages
- Reminder and notification preferences
- Device and session data needed to run the app
- Technical logs needed for security, debugging and reliability
3. The beta waitlist
If you sign up for the beta on this website, we store the first name and email address you enter, how you heard about Ellea, and anything you write in the optional free-text field. We use it only to contact you about the beta and to understand where people are finding us — never for advertising, and we do not sell or share it.
The waitlist is separate from your Ellea account: signing up here does not create one. Ask us at hello@meetellea.com and we will remove you from the list.
4. Sensitive data
You may choose to share personal information with Ellea, including topics related to relationships, emotional wellbeing, habits or health. We treat this with a high standard of care and do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
Ellea is not therapy, crisis support or a replacement for professional medical, legal or financial advice.
5. Why we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the Ellea experience
- Remember relevant context across conversations
- Create follow-ups and reminders on your behalf
- Ensure security and reliability of the service
- Comply with legal obligations
6. Legal basis
Where applicable under GDPR or similar privacy laws, we rely on your explicit consent as the legal basis for processing personal and sensitive data within Ellea's memory and follow-up features.
7. Data retention
We retain your data only for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations and support legitimate product functions. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you — in the app you can view your memories, follow-ups and notes directly
- Export your data in a usable format — from the app, in Settings, you can download everything in your account as a single file
- Delete your data — the app lets you delete all your data, or your whole account, at any time in Settings
- Correct inaccurate data — email us and we will fix or remove it for you
- Withdraw consent — you can turn notifications and proactive features off in the app, and deleting the relevant data (or your account) stops that processing entirely
Access, export and deletion are available to you directly in the app. For correction requests, to withdraw consent in another way, or with any question about your rights, contact us at hello@meetellea.com.
9. Third-party services
Ellea uses infrastructure and AI service providers to operate the product, including hosting, database and AI processing. These providers only process data as necessary to deliver the service and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls and secure credential handling.
11. Children
Ellea is not designed for or marketed to children under the age of 16.
